Audrey and Henry are a wealthy and respected couple in their small town. After losing their grandson Jackson, they become consumed by grief and desperation to bring him back. When Henry discovers a book of black magic, they hatch a plan to perform a reverse exorcism on a young pregnant woman named Shannon. They believe they can transfer Jackson's spirit into her unborn child and bring him back to life.
They hire a group of occultists to help them perform the ritual, but things quickly go wrong. They unintentionally summon a group of vengeful spirits who begin to terrorize them and possess their bodies. As the haunting intensifies, the couple realizes they have made a fatal mistake and are in over their heads.
Meanwhile, Shannon becomes increasingly suspicious of their intentions and attempts to escape. She eventually discovers the truth about what they're doing and joins forces with a skeptical local detective to stop them and save her baby.
