Anthony Zimmer is a fast-paced thriller film directed by Jérôme Salle and released in 2005. The plot follows the story of a man named Anthony Zimmer, who is a financial criminal wanted by both the police and the Russian Mafia. Zimmer has undergone extensive plastic surgery and changed his identity in order to evade capture. The only person who knows his true identity is his lover, Chiara, who is being closely watched by both the police and the Russian mafia.

François Taillandier, played by Yvan Attal, is a French businessman who bears a strong resemblance to Zimmer. When Chiara spots him on a train to Nice, she mistakes Taillandier for Zimmer and begins to use him as a decoy to throw off her pursuers. The plan works for a while, but eventually Taillandier realizes the danger he's in and is forced to go on the run.

The film is full of twists and turns as the various groups chasing Zimmer and Taillandier try to outmaneuver each other. The tension is high as the two men's lives become more and more intertwined. The film also explores themes of identity and the lengths people will go to in order to escape their pasts.

Anthony Zimmer was well-received by audiences and critics alike, with many praising the performances of the cast. The film was remade in Hollywood in 2010 under the title The Tourist, starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. However, the original French version remains a cult favorite for fans of the thriller genre.
