Another Round is a Danish film directed by Thomas Vinterberg and written by Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm. It revolves around a group of four high school teachers, who are going through a mid-life crisis and feel that they have lost their enthusiasm for life.

Martin (Mads Mikkelsen), Tommy (Thomas Bo Larsen), Peter (Lars Ranthe), and Nikolaj (Magnus Millang) decide to test a theory by Norwegian psychiatrist, Finn Skårderud, that people are born with a small deficit of alcohol in their blood, and maintain a constant low level of intoxication throughout the day. They call the experiment "The Great Perpetual Intoxication," and set out to prove its validity.

The teachers start each school day by consuming alcohol and then monitor their blood alcohol levels using a breathalyzer. As the experiment progresses, they begin to feel more alive and confident, and their teaching and personal lives start to improve. Martin, in particular, experiences a renewed joy in his marriage and his relationship with his teenage sons.

However, the experiment starts to spiral out of control, and the teachers find themselves drinking more than they intend to. This results in some dangerous and reckless behavior, putting their jobs and relationships in jeopardy. The film explores the balance between moderation and excess, and how alcohol affects different individuals in different ways.

As the experiment comes to a close, the teachers realize that their drinking has brought both positive and negative consequences. The film ultimately ends with a bittersweet message about the power of alcohol and the consequences of pursuing happiness through excessive drinking.
