Another Barrio is a neo-noir film that follows housing inspector Bob Morales as he investigates a suspicious fire in San Francisco's Latino Mission District. The film delves into the corrupt practices of city hall officials and the dangers of gentrification. Morales is forced to confront his own demons as he uncovers a dangerous web of deceit, bribery, corruption, and murder.

The film is based on a story by San Francisco Poet Laureate Alejandro Murguia, and it brings to light issues surrounding displacement of low-income communities.
