John, played by Mickey Rourke, is desperate to find his girlfriend Elizabeth, played by Kim Basinger, who has disappeared without a trace. He travels to Paris in search of her and ends up meeting a mysterious fashion designer named Lea, played by Angie Everhart, and her assistant Claire, played by Agathe de La Fontaine.
Lea reveals to John that Elizabeth was her friend in Paris, but she had married and moved away. As John spends more time with Lea, he starts to develop feelings for her, and the two of them start a passionate affair.
However, things take a shocking turn when Lea's business partner Vittorio, played by Steven Berkoff, tells John a different version of Elizabeth's fate. According to Vittorio, Elizabeth was involved in a dangerous game of seduction with wealthy men, and she had disappeared as a result.
