Each of the survivors shares their personal experiences and reflects on the similarities and differences between their own stories and that of Anne Frank. The film also showcases the impact that the story of Anne Frank has had on popular culture, including the Frank family's diary and its subsequent adaptations in film and theater.
In addition to interviews with survivors, the film features scenes with a group of young actors who are participating in a memorization project of Frank's diary. The scenes show the actors reciting passages from the diary in a theatrical performance.
