Angels in Stardust follows the journey of fifteen-year-old Vallie Sue (played by AJ Michalka), who lives in a unique community known as the Stardust Trailer Park. The residents of this town have built their homes on the site of a deserted drive-in movie lot, and their way of life is a curious blend of old-fashioned values and mystical beliefs.
Vallie Sue is a dreamer at heart, longing for adventure and a life beyond Stardust. She spends her time working at the local diner and taking care of her alcoholic mother, who spends most of her time sleeping and dreaming about her glory days as a beauty queen.
Vallie Sue's world is turned upside down when a charismatic stranger named West (played by Billy Burke) comes to town. West is an enigmatic figure, with a dark past and a mysterious connection to Vallie Sue's mother. Despite the warnings of her best friend, Vallie Sue is drawn to West and the promise of a life beyond Stardust.
As Vallie Sue begins to see the world outside of her community, she realizes that the world she was born into is more dangerous and complicated than she ever imagined. She must confront the dark secrets of her past and the harsh realities of the present if she hopes to realize her potential and escape the confines of Stardust.
