The young couple in Angelfish are Brendan and Eva. Brendan comes from a working-class Irish family and is struggling to find his place in life. Eva is a Puerto Rican girl who dreams of leaving the Bronx and pursuing a career as a fashion designer. Despite their differences, the two are drawn to each other and embark on a passionate, but complicated, romance.
As they navigate their relationship and the challenges of their respective families and backgrounds, Brendan must come to terms with his own dreams and aspirations. Meanwhile, Eva is faced with the realization that her dream of leaving the Bronx may not be as simple as she thought.
