Andhadhun is a Hindi-language thriller film directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film revolves around the life of a blind pianist Akash (played by Ayushmann Khurrana) who aspires to become a successful musician. One day, while playing piano at a club, Akash meets Sophie (played by Radhika Apte), a young and enthusiastic actor who becomes smitten with him. Meanwhile, a wealthy retired actor Pramod Sinha (played by Anil Dhawan) shows interest in Akash's talent and commissions him to play piano at his house.
As Akash goes to Pramod Sinha's house to play, he witnesses a murder, however, being blind he is unable to see the murderer's face. The plot takes a turn when the murderer turns out to be the wife of Pramod Sinha, Simi (played by Tabu). Simi is a desperate woman who has murdered her husband and is now willing to do anything to cover it up. Akash becomes the prime witness to the murder and Simi and her lover Doctor Swami (played by Manav Vij) become determined to silence him before he can report the crime.
The film is full of twists and turns as the story unfolds through the eyes of the blind pianist. It showcases the power of sound and music and how Akash's heightened sense of hearing helps him to solve the crime. The film is a gripping thriller that keeps the audience engaged till the very end. Andhadhun was a commercial and critical success and won several awards, including the National Film Award for Best Hindi Film.
