In Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Ron Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell) is fired from his job as a news anchor in California and offered a position at GNN (Global News Network) in New York City, which is the first 24-hour news channel. Ron reassembles his news team, including weatherman Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), sports reporter Champ Kind (David Koechner), and reporter Brian Fantana (Paul Rudd), but finds that the world of news has changed since his heyday in the 70s.
Ron struggles to adapt to the new style of journalism, which includes sensationalized stories and constant breaking news updates.
