An Empress and the Warriors is a 2008 Chinese historical action film directed by Ching Siu-tung and starring Kelly Chen, Donnie Yen and Leon Lai. The movie tells the story of Yan Fei'er (played by Kelly Chen), a skilled warrior who is the youngest daughter of the king of the Yan Empire.
After her father's death, Yan Fei'er inherits the throne and becomes the empress of the Yan Empire. However, her ascension to power is met with resistance from her uncle, Wu Ba (played by Guo Xiaodong), who believes that a woman is not fit to rule.
