As Alex returns home, he is haunted by memories of his past, particularly those involving his alcoholic father who was abusive to both him and his brother. He struggles to come to terms with his unresolved anger and trauma, and this is further complicated by his inability to take photos of people.
As he reconnects with his brother and mother, who is in a coma, he also meets a woman named Nica, who is renting a room in their house. She is curious about Alex's photography and the woman he sees in his viewfinder. Through their conversations, she helps him confront his past and understand the true cause of his phobia.
Meanwhile, tensions rise between Alex and Aram, as they confront their different coping mechanisms for dealing with their traumatic childhood. As their mother's condition deteriorates, they struggle to come together and support each other.
As the film progresses, Alex slowly learns to face his past and embrace new relationships, including with Nica, and her daughter Luna. Ultimately, he comes to a new understanding of himself and his past, which allows him to move forward and take photographs of people once again.
