American Traitor: The Trial of Axis Sally is a historical drama film directed by Michael Polish and written by Vance Owen and Darryl Hicks. The movie is based on the true story of Mildred Gillars, an American woman who became one of the most notorious propagandists of Nazi Germany during World War II.
In the film, Mildred Gillars (played by Meadow Williams) is a struggling actress who moves to Berlin in 1934 to pursue her dreams of fame and fortune. However, when the war breaks out, she is recruited by the Nazi propaganda machine to broadcast anti-American messages to American troops in Europe.
