American Mary is a 2012 Canadian horror film directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska, also known as the "Twisted Twins." The movie tells the story of Mary Mason, a struggling medical student facing financial difficulties due to her inability to pay her tuition fees. One day, Mary is lured into the world of underground body modification by a client who offers her a large sum of money to perform an unsanctioned surgery.

As Mary begins to take on more and more clients, she becomes increasingly involved with the underground world of body modification, which is run by a group of people who are obsessed with changing their bodies in bizarre and grotesque ways. These clients, who include a woman who wants to be turned into a human doll, a man who wants to become a human snake, and a woman who wants to remove her nipples, all become part of Mary's strange and unsettling world.

As she becomes more involved with her clients, Mary finds herself drawn into a web of violence, deceit, and corruption that threatens to consume her. The movie explores the darker aspects of human nature and the lengths some people will go to in order to change themselves.

American Mary stars Katharine Isabelle as Mary Mason, Antonio Cupo as Billy Barker, Tristan Risk as Beatress Johnson, and David Lovgren as Dr. Alan Grant. It received positive reviews from critics for its powerful lead performance, unique script, and dark and unsettling atmosphere.
