In American Insurrection, the government has implemented a tracking system that requires all non-straight, non-white, non-Christian, and non-cisgender individuals to have barcodes tattooed on their bodies. The system is enforced through a secret government agency known as the "Conformity Bureau."

The story follows the journey of several characters who are targeted by the government because of their identities. We see the struggles they face as they try to survive in a society that is seeking to erase their existence.

One of the main characters is a non-binary person named Jesse, who is constantly on the run from the Bureau. They meet and fall in love with a girl named Maya, who is the daughter of a prominent Christian politician.

As they navigate their relationship, they also join forces with a group of rebels who are fighting against the oppressive government. The rebels are led by a Black queer woman named Amani, who has been organizing protests and sabotaging the government's efforts to further marginalize marginalized communities.

As the resistance grows stronger, the government responds with brutal force, creating a violent showdown between the two factions. In the end, the rebels succeed in overthrowing the government but at great personal cost.

American Insurrection is a powerful commentary on the dangers of a society that seeks to strip people of their identity and the importance of standing up against oppression.
