American Animals is a crime drama film based on a true story. It revolves around the story of four young college students from affluent backgrounds. Spencer Reinhard, Warren Lipka, Chas Allen, and Eric Borsuk, who are all bored with their monotonous lives, decide to execute an art heist. They plan to steal rare and valuable books from the special collections library of Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.
