In the movie, Dave Seville is a struggling songwriter who is trying to make it big in the music industry. His life takes a surprising turn when he finds three talking chipmunks in his house - Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. Dave soon realizes that these chipmunks are not ordinary animals but they have a unique talent for singing.
Dave decides to take the chipmunks under his wing and help them become music superstars. He writes songs for them and becomes their manager, even bringing them to record a demo at a famous record label.
The chipmunks become an instant hit and quickly rise to fame, but they also face new challenges. The pressures of being successful begin to take a toll on the trio, especially Alvin, who becomes a diva and causes tension between the group.
