In Altered Carbon: Resleeved, Takeshi Kovacs is hired to protect a tattoo artist named Holly while investigating the death of the yakuza boss, Shinji. Holly was hired by Shinji's daughter, Tanaseda, to give her a tattoo that holds the key to a secret location. Kovacs discovers that the yakuza boss was killed by another yakuza leader, Takeshi Oshima, who is trying to take control of the yakuza clan.
Kovacs must navigate the dangerous underworld of the yakuza and work with a CTAC (Colonial Tactical Assault Corps) agent named Gena to solve the case and protect Holly. Gena is a no-nonsense agent who is determined to uphold the law and apprehend the perpetrators. However, Kovacs is more focused on protecting Holly and getting to the truth.
As they investigate, they discover that the tattoo is not just a key to a secret location, but also holds the key to a powerful weapon called the Red Spear. The Red Spear is a dangerous and deadly weapon that can destroy entire cities and must be kept out of the wrong hands.
Kovacs and Gena must navigate through the dangerous world of the yakuza and fight off their enemies to protect Holly and stop Oshima from obtaining the Red Spear.
