As the friends settle into their cabin for the weekend, tensions start to rise among them due to unresolved conflicts and underlying animosities. The atmosphere becomes even more charged when they discover they have no cell phone reception and are completely cut off from the outside world.
As night falls, the group decides to unwind with some drinks and music, trying to put their differences aside and enjoy the weekend. However, their merriment is interrupted when they hear strange noises coming from the woods surrounding the cabin.
One by one, the friends start to disappear, their screams echoing through the dark forest as they are hunted and brutally killed by an unseen assailant. Panic sets in as the survivors realize they are being targeted by a psychotic killer, and they must band together to try and outwit their relentless pursuer.
As the night wears on, the friends are forced to confront their deepest fears and darkest secrets if they hope to make it out alive. With no one coming to their rescue and the killer closing in on them, they must fight for their lives in a desperate bid to survive until dawn breaks over Alpine Lake.
