Along the Roadside follows the journey of Jake, an American man from Los Angeles, and Aylin, a Turkish woman from Istanbul, as they embark on a road trip together to attend the largest music festival in California. Both are at a crossroads in their lives and are looking for something more.
Along the way, they encounter various challenges and obstacles as they navigate their vastly different cultures and personal lives. Their differences initially lead to clashes and misunderstandings, but they slowly begin to understand and appreciate each other's perspectives and backgrounds.
As they travel across the diverse and beautiful landscapes of the United States, Jake and Aylin also encounter a cast of memorable characters who teach them valuable lessons about life and love.
Throughout their journey, they both undergo a journey of self-discovery, learning about themselves and what they truly want out of life.
