The movie Along Came the Devil follows the story of Ashley, a troubled young woman who was abandoned by her mother as a child and raised by her strict and abusive father. She now struggles to find meaning and connection in her life as an adult.
When she moves back to her hometown, she befriends a local pastor's daughter, Hannah, and begins to attend church in an attempt to fill the void in her life. However, during a spiritual retreat, she becomes possessed by a demonic force that begins to wreak havoc on her and those close to her.
As Ashley's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and dangerous, Hannah and her father, Pastor John, desperately try to save her soul from the demon that has taken hold of her. Their faith and determination are put to the ultimate test as they confront the evil force that threatens to destroy Ashley and everything that they hold dear.
