Along Came a Spider is a 2001 American crime thriller film directed by Lee Tamahori and starring Morgan Freeman as detective Alex Cross. The film is based on the novel of the same name by James Patterson. It also stars Monica Potter as Jezzie Flannigan, a Secret Service agent who becomes involved in the case.
