Alone We Fight follows a group of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division, who are dropped behind enemy lines in France to disrupt German troop movements during World War II. The soldiers are led by Captain Roger Nelson, who is haunted by his past failures and is determined to succeed in this mission. Along the way, they encounter resistance from not only the Germans but also from the French resistance, who are skeptical of the Americans' intentions.
As the soldiers make their way deeper into enemy territory, they face increasing danger and must work together to overcome various obstacles, including snipers, landmines, and booby traps. Along the way, they also discover the harsh realities of war, including the loss of innocent civilians and the brutality of the enemy.
Through it all, the soldiers remain determined to complete their mission and stop the German advance. Despite facing overwhelming odds, they are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for their country and their fellow soldiers.
Alone We Fight stars a cast of relative unknowns, including Corbin Bernsen, as Captain Nelson, and Johnny Messner, as Sergeant John Blake. The movie was directed by Justin Lee and released in 2018.
