Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold is a 1986 adventure film directed by Gary Nelson. The movie stars Richard Chamberlain as Allan Quatermain, Sharon Stone as Jesse Huston, and James Earl Jones as Umslopogaas.
The story follows Allan Quatermain, an adventurer and explorer, who sets out to discover the fate of his missing brother Robeson. With the help of Jesse Huston, an American woman searching for her missing father, Allan embarks on a dangerous journey through the African wilderness.
Their quest leads them to the Lost City of Gold, a mythical place that is said to be controlled by an evil ruler named Agon. Upon arrival, they discover that the city is indeed real and is being used as a place to mine gold by Agon and his army of white slaves.
Allan and Jesse are captured by Agon's men, but with the help of Umslopogaas, a warrior from a local tribe, they manage to escape. Together, the trio sets out to overthrow Agon and free the slaves. Along the way, they face numerous obstacles and battles, including fighting a giant scorpion and navigating treacherous underground tunnels.
In the end, Allan and his team are able to defeat Agon and free the slaves, but not without sacrifices along the way. The movie ends with Allan and Jesse walking off into the sunset, leaving behind the Lost City of Gold and their adventure in Africa.
