All the Old Knives is a drama/thriller film adapted from Olen Steinhauer's novel of the same name. The story is set in Carmel-by-the-Sea, a picturesque seaside town in California, where two former CIA agents, Henry and Celia, reunite after six years.

Henry has left the agency and now works as a commercial pilot, while Celia has climbed the ranks and is now a high-ranking CIA official. They meet at a restaurant called "All the Old Knives," where they had their first date, and reminisce about their past relationship.

However, the reunion is tense, as they were involved in a botched operation in Vienna six years ago, in which a terrorist hijacked an airplane and demanded the release of his comrades. Celia was in command of the rescue mission, and Henry was her undercover operative on the ground. The mission failed, and several people, including an American diplomat, were killed.

Now, Henry and Celia must revisit the incident and uncover new information that may reveal the truth behind the operation's failure. The movie takes the audience through a series of flashbacks and present-day interrogations, where the two agents question their own loyalties to their country and each other.

The tension mounts as they both reveal secrets they've been keeping from each other, leading to a shocking finale that will test their loyalty, trust, and love for each other.
