After being sent back to Earth by a guardian angel dog named Carface, Charlie and Itchy set out on a mission to retrieve Gabriel's Horn, a powerful artifact that has the ability to call forth angels. Along the way, they run into a young runaway named David, who has left home after his father remarried and he feels ignored and unloved.
Charlie takes David under his wing and they become fast friends, with Charlie teaching David how to have fun and enjoy life. However, their quest for the horn is impeded by the villainous Carface, who is also searching for the artifact in order to use its power for his own selfish purposes.
As Charlie, Itchy, and David navigate their way through various obstacles and dangers, they ultimately succeed in finding Gabriel's Horn. But in a final showdown with Carface, Charlie must make a difficult decision that will ultimately determine his fate and whether or not he gets to stay on Earth with his friends.
