The movie All About Steve follows the story of Mary Horowitz, a crossword constructor who goes on a blind date with a CNN cameraman named Steve. Though the date doesn't go especially well, Mary becomes convinced that Steve is her true love and decides to follow him around the country as he travels to various news events.
Steve, however, is not interested in Mary and repeatedly tells her so. Undeterred, Mary continues to pursue him, showing up at his job and following him on his assignments. Along the way, Mary befriends a group of misfits and helps them with their own personal problems.
Eventually, Steve's co-workers begin to take notice of Mary's obsessive behavior and urge him to be kinder to her. This prompts Steve to take Mary on a road trip in order to gently let her down and give her a chance to move on.
All About Steve is a romantic comedy that explores the boundaries between persistence and obsession, and the importance of learning to let go. Starring Sandra Bullock as Mary and Bradley Cooper as Steve, the film was released in 2009 to mixed reviews.
