The movie Alien Trespass is a science-fiction comedy film directed by R.W. Goodwin. It is set in 1957, in a small California town called Mojave Desert. The movie opens with a vintage-style newsreel, which reports the sighting of a flying saucer in the desert. Meanwhile, in the town, the annual dance party is being planned by the locals.
Suddenly, a bright object crashes into a nearby mountain, causing an explosion. The townspeople rush to the scene to investigate and discover a small flying saucer. Out of the wreckage emerges a ghastly, tentacled creature called the Ghota, which immediately starts wreaking havoc. Meanwhile, a benevolent alien named Urp, who happens to be flying nearby, sees the crash and lands his spaceship near the scene.
Urp realizes that the Ghota is a dangerous creature that could destroy the entire planet, so he decides to capture it and prevent it from causing further destruction. Unfortunately, Urp doesn't have a physical body on Earth, so he must take over the body of a human host to accomplish his mission.
Urp chooses a mild-mannered astronomer named Ted Lewis (played by Eric McCormack), who is out stargazing when the alien takes over his body. Ted is understandably confused and frightened when he wakes up to find he is sharing his body with an extraterrestrial life form.
Along with Tammy (played by Jenni Baird), a spunky waitress at a local diner, Ted/Urp sets out to track down the Ghota and stop it from destroying everything in its path. Their wild adventures lead them from the desert to the outskirts of town, where they meet a colorful cast of characters, including a surly sheriff, a bumbling deputy, and a nerdy scientist.
In the end, Ted/Urp and Tammy discover the Ghota's weakness and use it to defeat the creature and save the world from certain doom. The movie ends with Ted coming to terms with his otherworldly experience and Tammy promising to keep his secret safe.
