In Alien Hunter, a group of government agents from the National Science Foundation travel to the South Pole to investigate a mysterious signal that has been detected deep beneath the ice. The team includes linguist Julie Ruskin (played by James Spader), who has been brought in to help decipher the alien language, as well as marine biologist Dr. Michael Straub (played by Janine Eser) and geologist Dr. Aaron McIntire (played by John Lynch).
As they delve deeper into the ice, the team discovers a vast network of ice tunnels that lead to a massive subterranean chamber. There, they find evidence of a highly advanced alien civilization, including technological artifacts and even ancient, preserved alien bodies.
But as they continue their investigation, they also uncover evidence of a hostile alien presence. It seems that the alien civilization has been destroyed by a vicious race of predators that now stalk the corridors of the subterranean city. The team must race against time to uncover the secrets of this ancient civilization and find a way to protect themselves from the dangerous alien creatures that now lurk in the shadows.
