Airheads is a 1994 American comedy film directed by Michael Lehmann, starring Brendan Fraser, Steve Buscemi, and Adam Sandler. The film follows a struggling rock band, The Lone Rangers, who are desperate to get their demo tape heard by a record label. After unsuccessful attempts to get their tape played at a radio station, the band decides to hijack a local rock station, KPPX 102.5 FM, in order to get their music played on the air.

The band members, Chazz (Brendan Fraser), Rex (Steve Buscemi), and Pip (Adam Sandler) arrive at the station armed with fake guns and demand to speak with the program director, Milo (Michael McKean). After initially being dismissed, the band takes Milo, their producer Jimmie Wing (Judd Nelson), and several others hostage, forcing them to play their demo tape on the air.

As the situation escalates and police and media swarm around the station, the band becomes a sensation, with fans and fellow musicians supporting their cause. However, as the band members begin to squabble and Milo's boss, Doug Beech (Joe Mantegna), threatens to shut down the station, they have to figure out how to end the standoff without anyone getting hurt.

Throughout the movie, the band members struggle with their own insecurities and doubts about their talents and success. As they become more successful and gain more attention, they also become more reckless and disillusioned, eventually realizing that fame and success come at a price.

Airheads features a number of notable cameo appearances by musicians and actors, including Lemmy from the band Motorhead, Chris Farley, and Michael Richards. The film was not a box office success but has since gained a cult following for its portrayal of the music industry and the struggles of up-and-coming bands.
