Agent Cody Banks is a 2003 American spy comedy film directed by Harald Zwart. It stars Frankie Muniz as teenager Cody Banks, who is recruited by the CIA to become a special agent. Cody is mentored by Agent Ronica Miles, played by Angie Harmon, and is tasked with completing a mission to stop a nefarious scientist named Dr. Connors, played by Ian McShane, from using nanobots to destroy the world's population.
To complete his mission, Cody must also get close to his classmate Natalie Connors, played by Hilary Duff, who is the daughter of the evil scientist. Cody struggles with balancing his secret agent duties and his normal teenage life, including dealing with his overprotective parents and his crush on Natalie.
As Cody becomes closer to Natalie, he begins to develop feelings for her and finds it increasingly difficult to lie to her about his true identity. However, he ultimately realizes the importance of his mission and works to stop Dr. Connors before it's too late.
Agent Cody Banks received mixed reviews from critics but was a box office success, grossing over $58 million worldwide. It also spawned a sequel, Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London, which was released in 2004.
