The Adventures of Rufus: The Fantastic Pet is a family-friendly fantasy movie directed by Ryan Bellgardt. The film follows the story of a young boy named Scott and his friend Emily, who discover a furry creature named Rufus in Scott's grandmother's house. Rufus is a swashbuckling creature who comes from a magical kingdom that is fading away. He asks the children to help restore his kingdom and save it from disappearing completely.

As they journey through Rufus' magical world, Scott and Emily face challenges such as a gigantic alligator, a vicious dinosaur skeleton, a ruthless owl and a fire-breathing dragon. They must use their quick wit and bravery to overcome these obstacles and save Rufus' kingdom.
