Addicted to Love is a romantic comedy film directed by Griffin Dunne, released in 1997. Sam (Matthew Broderick), an astronomer, is living a happy life with his girlfriend Linda (Kelly Preston) until she leaves him for a French chef named Anton (Tchéky Karyo) and moves to New York City. Sam is heartbroken and cannot understand why Linda left him. He becomes obsessed with her and decides to spy on her from across the street in an abandoned building.

Maggie (Meg Ryan) is also heartbroken as Anton left her for Linda, and she decides to move into the same building as Sam to spy on them. Sam and Maggie meet and team up to try to get back at their ex-lovers, and they eventually start to develop feelings for each other.

As they continue to spy on Linda and Anton, they discover that Linda is unhappy in her new relationship and is using Anton to get over Sam. Sam decides to finally confront Linda, and she realizes that she is still in love with him. The movie ends with Sam and Linda getting back together, and Maggie starting a new relationship with a man she met while spying on Linda and Anton.

Addicted to Love received mixed reviews from critics but was a moderate box office success. It is remembered for its quirky characters, comedic moments, and catchy soundtrack featuring songs by artists such as The Cardigans, The Rolling Stones, and Katrina and the Waves.
