"Adam's Apples" is a dark Danish comedy-drama film directed by Anders Thomas Jensen. The film tells the story of Adam, a neo-Nazi and former prisoner, who is sentenced to community service at a rural church led by the blindly devotional priest, Ivan.
At the church, Ivan challenges Adam to confront his hatred and bigotry by giving him the task of baking an apple pie. Adam initially refuses, claiming that baking is not something a man like him should do. However, Ivan insists and even goes as far as to say that the apple pie should represent all that is good in the world.
As Adam struggles with the task, he is confronted with a series of challenges, including a promiscuous nymphomaniac who lives on the property and an escaped murderer seeking refuge at the church. These challenges challenge his worldview and force him to confront his deepest prejudices.
