Action Jackson is a 1988 action thriller film directed by Craig R. Baxley. The film stars Carl Weathers as Jericho "Action" Jackson, a no-nonsense Detroit police sergeant who is out for revenge against a ruthless auto mogul named Peter Dellaplane (played by Craig T. Nelson).
Dellaplane is a wealthy businessman who has a secret agenda to take over Detroit's automobile industry by eliminating all of his competition. He is involved in a number of shady deals, including drug trafficking, and will stop at nothing to reach his ultimate goal.
Jackson, on the other hand, is a hard-boiled cop who has a personal vendetta against Dellaplane. He is forced to go undercover to gather evidence against Dellaplane, but as he delves deeper into the case, he finds himself beginning to fall for Dellaplane's beautiful mistress, Sydney Ash (played by Sharon Stone).
