Action Jackson is a 1988 action thriller film directed by Craig R. Baxley. The film stars Carl Weathers as Jericho "Action" Jackson, a no-nonsense Detroit police sergeant who is out for revenge against a ruthless auto mogul named Peter Dellaplane (played by Craig T. Nelson).

Dellaplane is a wealthy businessman who has a secret agenda to take over Detroit's automobile industry by eliminating all of his competition. He is involved in a number of shady deals, including drug trafficking, and will stop at nothing to reach his ultimate goal.

Jackson, on the other hand, is a hard-boiled cop who has a personal vendetta against Dellaplane. He is forced to go undercover to gather evidence against Dellaplane, but as he delves deeper into the case, he finds himself beginning to fall for Dellaplane's beautiful mistress, Sydney Ash (played by Sharon Stone).

The film features a number of high-octane action sequences, including car chases, shootouts, and explosions. There are also several comedic moments, including a memorable scene in which Jackson takes on a group of ninjas.

In addition to Weathers, Nelson, and Stone, the film features an all-star cast, including Vanity, Bill Duke, Robert Davi, and Thomas F. Wilson. The movie was a moderate commercial success, grossing $20.3 million against a budget of $7 million. While it received mixed reviews from critics, the film has since become a cult classic among fans of the action genre.
