Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective is a family-friendly comedy movie released in 2009. The film is a spin-off of the original Ace Ventura movies featuring Jim Carrey and follows the adventures of his 12-year-old son as he becomes a pet detective in his own right.
In the movie, Ace Ventura Jr. (played by Josh Flitter) has inherited his father's talent for talking to animals and solving pet-related crimes. When a baby panda goes missing from the local zoo, Ace Jr. sets out to crack the case and find the culprit responsible for the theft. Along the way, he teams up with his tech-savvy best friend, Laura (played by Emma Lockhart), and a quirky parrot named Darwin (voiced by Chris Edgerly) to follow the clues and track down the missing panda.
As Ace Jr. navigates the challenges of being a young detective, he also grapples with the pressure to be "normal" and fit in with his middle school peers. But despite his efforts to suppress his natural instincts, Ace Jr. can't resist the allure of a good mystery and the thrill of solving a crime.
