Dr. Abe Mandelbaum (played by Martin Landau) is a retired pathologist who recently moved into a retirement home in a quiet New England town. There, he meets Phil Nicoletti (played by Paul Sorvino), a charming and outgoing gambler who loves to play poker with the other residents.

Despite their vastly different personalities, Abe and Phil strike up an unlikely friendship. They bond over their shared sense of humor and love of card games, and spend their days cracking jokes and reminiscing about their pasts.

However, their friendship is tested when a mysterious nurse named Angela (played by Maria Dizzia) arrives at the home. Both Abe and Phil recognize her from their past and become convinced that she is the daughter they never knew they had.

As they each try to convince Angela that they are her father, their true motives begin to unravel. Abe becomes jealous of Phil's flirtations with Angela, and Phil starts to feel guilty about the lies he's been telling.

As tensions rise, the two men must confront their own mortality and figure out what really matters in life. Abe & Phil's Last Poker Game is a touching and poignant film about the complexities of aging, friendship, and family.
