Abbott and Costello Meet the Invisible Man is a 1951 comedy-sci-fi film directed by Charles Lamont and starring the famous comedy duo Abbott and Costello. The film is a sequel to the 1940 film The Invisible Man Returns and features a new invisible man, played by Arthur Franz.

The film starts with boxer Tommy Nelson being accused of killing his manager. Detectives Bud and Lou are assigned to investigate the case. While searching for clues, they come across an invisibility formula developed by Dr. Philip Gray, a friend of Tommy's. Tommy injects himself with the formula and becomes invisible to evade the police.

Bud and Lou realize that Tommy is innocent and that he is using his invisibility to clear his name and catch the real killer. They team up with Tommy to solve the case and also secure a big payday by helping a gangster named Morgan win a fixed boxing match.

The trio comes up with a plan to use Tommy's invisibility to help Lou fight the heavyweight champion Rocky Hanlon. They convince Hanlon's manager, who happens to be Morgan, to set up the fight. During the bout, Tommy helps Lou punch Hanlon, baffling the spectators who cannot see Tommy. The scheme is successful, and Lou wins the fight, making them very rich.

In the end, Bud and Lou manage to catch the real killer, and Tommy's name is cleared. The film ends with the trio using the invisibility formula to play pranks on unsuspecting people, including a police officer.
