Aashiqui 2 is a romantic drama film directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Mukesh Bhatt. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.
The movie begins with Rahul Jaykar, a successful singer who has lost his career due to his drinking habits. He meets Arohi Keshav Shirke, a bar singer, in a pub in Goa. Impressed by her singing talent, Rahul promises to make her a star in the music industry.
Rahul takes Arohi to Mumbai and introduces her to his friend and music producer, Saigal. Arohi records her first demo with Saigal and becomes an instant hit. Rahul and Arohi start dating and fall in love with each other.
As Arohi's career takes off, Rahul's drinking problem continues to worsen, and he becomes possessive and insecure about Arohi's success. Arohi tries to help him overcome his addiction, but he refuses to listen, causing their relationship to sour.
Things take a turn for the worse when Rahul becomes violent and gets injured in a car accident. Arohi decides to leave him and focus on her career. However, she realizes her love for him and forgives him, but it's too late, and Rahul dies in her arms.
The movie ends on a sad note with Arohi becoming a successful singer but still missing Rahul, the love of her life. Aashiqui 2 is a tale of love, passion, and sacrifice, where success and fame take a toll on relationships.
