A Whisker Away is a Japanese animated film produced by Studio Colorido and directed by Junichi Sato and Tomotaka Shibayama. The film follows the story of Miyo Sasaki, a shy and dreamy teenage girl, who has fallen in love with her classmate, Kento Hinode. Muge, as she likes to be called, goes to great lengths to catch Kento's attention, but he seems disinterested in her.
One day, Muge discovers a magical mask that allows her to transform into a cat named Tar?. In her feline form, she is able to get closer to Kento and does everything she can to get his attention. However, as she spends more time as a cat, Muge finds it increasingly difficult to return to her human form.
As the story progresses, Muge starts to understand the reasons behind Kento's aloofness and becomes embroiled in a complicated situation involving his family. Along the way, Muge must make some tough choices and ask herself what it truly means to be happy.
