Darcy has always been a perfectionist, but when her mother announces her engagement to a man named Fredd, Darcy's world is turned upside down. She can't help but see Fredd as an interloper, trying to replace her late father. Despite her reservations, Darcy agrees to plan her mother's wedding, determined to make it a beautiful and flawless affair.
But Darcy quickly realizes that her vision for the wedding clashes with her mother's desire for a low-key celebration. Darcy wants everything to be extravagant and over the top, while her mother just wants to marry the man she loves in a simple ceremony.
