In A View to a Kill, James Bond is called upon to investigate a series of mysterious events that suggest there may be a spy in the British Government. He soon discovers that a microchip designed by Zorin Industries, which is capable of withstanding the electromagnetic radiation of a nuclear explosion, has been stolen and is now in the hands of the KGB.
As he begins to investigate, Bond's suspicions lead him to the charismatic and ruthless industrialist Max Zorin (Christopher Walken). He discovers that Zorin is not only behind the theft of the microchip, but is also planning to use it to destroy Silicon Valley in California and thereby corner the world market in microchips.
With the help of geologist Stacey Sutton (Tanya Roberts), Bond races to stop Zorin's plan and save millions of innocent lives. Along the way, he battles Zorin's henchmen and faces off against the villain himself in a thrilling finale atop the Golden Gate Bridge.
