Aubrey Lang is a successful travel and lifestyle blogger who is always in search of new places to explore. When she hears that Solvang, a small town in California, has been voted the Most Christmassy Town in the USA, she decides to visit for her next holiday vlog piece.
Upon arriving, Aubrey meets Sawyer Larsen, a local community coordinator and chocolate shop owner, who has been assigned to show her around the town. Although they are initially at odds due to their different backgrounds and perspectives, they soon begin to appreciate each other's strengths and playful banter.
The pair explore the town together, taking in its many Christmas-themed attractions and cheerfully engaging with the locals. They visit a Christmas market, attend a tree lighting ceremony, and even participate in a gingerbread house-making contest.
As they spend more time together, Aubrey and Sawyer's initial animosity evolves into a genuine affection for one another. They bond over their shared passion for travel and learning about new cultures, and slowly begin to fall in love.
However, as Christmas approaches, Aubrey starts to feel conflicted about her relationship with Sawyer. She lives in the fast-paced world of Los Angeles and is unsure if she is ready to commit to a slower, more grounded lifestyle in Solvang.
The film's climax comes during Solvang's annual Christmas parade, where Aubrey must decide whether to follow her heart or stay true to her career ambitions. Ultimately, she chooses to take a chance on love, and the film ends with the two sharing a romantic kiss under the twinkling lights of the town.
