In the movie, the Brady family is initially excited to hear that Carol's first husband has returned after being missing for over two decades. However, it soon becomes clear that something is not quite right about Roy Martin. He speaks in an exaggerated Southern accent, is unfamiliar with key details about Carol's life, and seems to have a strange obsession with the Bradys' horse statue.

As Martin spends more time with the Bradys, his true motives are gradually revealed. He is actually a criminal who has been hired to steal the statue, which is believed to be worth $20 million. Martin enlists the help of a woman named Annie, who poses as his daughter and tries to seduce oldest Brady son Greg in order to get closer to the statue.

Meanwhile, the Bradys are preoccupied with their own problems. Marcia is obsessing over a school dance, Jan is feeling overshadowed by her older sister, and Cindy is convinced that her beloved Kitty Carry-All doll is possessed by evil spirits. Amidst all this chaos, it's up to the Brady kids to help foil Martin's plan and save the statue from being stolen.
