A Star Is Born is a 2018 romantic drama film directed by Bradley Cooper and starring Lady Gaga in her first leading role in a major film. Cooper plays Jackson "Jack" Maine, a famous country rock star who is struggling with alcohol and drug addiction. One night after a performance, Jack stumbles into a drag bar where he sees Ally performing "La Vie en rose". Impressed by her talent, Jack invites her to his next show and they begin a romance.
