In A Royal Christmas on Ice, Prince Alex of San Senova is tired of his mundane and stuffy life as a royal and decides to take a break to explore life outside of his titled family. He travels to the United States and settles in a small town in upstate New York, where he decides to open up a business.
While in town, he stumbles upon a local ice skating rink and finds himself captivated by a former Olympic ice skater, Maddie. Maddie, who has given up her skating career due to an injury, now manages the rink and teaches local children how to skate.
As Prince Alex spends more time in the small town, he finds himself falling for Maddie and becomes determined to help her get back on the ice. Together, they plan a festive holiday ice show to raise money for the local community center, which is at risk of being shut down.
As they work together and get closer, Alex's royal duties call him back to San Senova, leaving Maddie uncertain about their future. However, the magic of the holiday season and the love they've found make for a heartwarming ending.
