A Night of the Undead was a horror movie released in 2019, directed by Paul Hough. The movie is set on the anniversary of a night when the world was ravaged by an outbreak that turned people into flesh-eating zombies, known as the "Night of the Living Dead". A group of podcasters decides to investigate the events that led to the outbreak and decide to visit the abandoned house where it all started.
As they explore the house, they discover that the original cause of the outbreak was a group of teenagers who played with a voodoo doll, attracting the wrath of the dead. However, in their attempt to find evidence to support their investigation, they accidentally resurrect the dead from their graves outside the house. The group soon realizes that they have to fight for their survival against the zombies and other supernatural creatures that lurk around the property.
The tension in the movie is heightened by the fact that the group is made up of individuals with conflicting personalities and agendas. As they struggle to survive the night, they face interpersonal conflicts alongside their battle with the living dead. A Night of the Undead is an homage to the classic horror genre of the 60s and 70s, and succeeds in delivering a satisfyingly eerie and action-packed experience.
