Sonja's boss, Richard, was a married man and their secret affair had been going on for months. However, when Richard is found dead, Sonja realizes that she is the prime suspect in his murder investigation. Despite her protests of innocence, the police remain unconvinced, and Sonja decides to leave the city with her husband, Tomas.
In a bid to start afresh, the couple rents a remote cabin where they hope to reconnect and rebuild their marriage. However, things take a sinister turn when an unexpected neighbor, Elena, shows up at their door. Elena reveals that she knows all about Sonja's affair with Richard, and she is determined to make Sonja pay for her adulterous ways.
As the days go by, Elena's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and alarming. Sonja and Tomas are trapped in the cabin, with no way to escape, and their new neighbor seems determined to exact her revenge on the couple.
