A Moment to Remember is a South Korean romantic drama film released in 2004. It tells the story of a young couple, Su-jin (played by Son Ye-jin) and Chul-soo (played by Jung Woo-sung), who fall in love at first sight and quickly get married. However, their happiness is short-lived when Su-jin begins showing symptoms of early-onset Alzheimer's disease.
As Su-jin's condition deteriorates, she begins to forget important moments and people in her life, including Chul-soo. Her family and doctor encourage Chul-soo to consider placing her in a care facility, but he refuses to give up on her and vows to take care of her himself.
Chul-soo creates a scrapbook of all their memories together in hopes of helping Su-jin remember, but it ultimately fails. Their relationship becomes strained as Chul-soo struggles to balance his love for Su-jin with his frustration and sadness over her condition.
In a heartbreaking moment, Su-jin forgets who Chul-soo is and runs away, causing him to frantically search for her. Eventually, he finds her sitting alone by a lake, and they share a bittersweet moment together before Su-jin is taken away to a care facility.
The film ends with Chul-soo visiting Su-jin and reading to her from their scrapbook, hoping to bring back some of her memories. A Moment to Remember has been praised for its emotional depth and powerful performances from its cast.
