Once Amy is brought to life, she starts to get used to living in the real world. She learns how to eat and sleep and gets rid of her stiff mannequin posture. However, she soon realizes that being a mother is not as easy as she thought it would be. She struggles to understand Jessica and her needs as well as trying to fit in with the modern world. Despite these challenges, Amy slowly starts to bond with Jessica and becomes a caring and loving mother figure.
Meanwhile, Philomena, the magical being who granted the wish, has plans of her own. She wants to reclaim Amy before Christmas Day and use her to grant more wishes. She creates chaos and interferes in Amy's attempts to be a good mother, causing a strain in Amy and Jessica's growing relationship.
As Christmas Day draws closer, Amy and Jessica face more challenges, but with love and determination, they overcome them. Philomena eventually sees the error of her ways and helps Amy and Jessica reunite, giving Jessica the best Christmas gift of all – a mother's love. The movie ends with Amy returning to being a mannequin but with a newfound appreciation for life and love.
